Notes from CLMS Teachers and Staff

Greetings CLMS students!

First and foremost, I hope all of you and your families have been well during the quarantine. Although we have been thrown off track by the pandemic, I hope you have been able to use this time to relax and recharge, and know that everything will be okay. I miss being able to teach you guys in person, getting to greet you at the door everyday, and getting to joke around with all of you while we get to learn together. Please know that I am always available should you have any questions when you're working on your packets, or if you just want to say "Hello!" Remember to keep washing your hands and take care!

Ms. Capiral

Dear students,

I hope you and your families are healthy and well. I am doing well, staying home and spending time with my family and pets. As you know, for health and safety reasons we will not return to school until further notice, but we will resume our educational program through distance learning, starting April 14th. Set aside a specific time to work on school work and set an alarm! This is a great opportunity to practice organizational and time management skills.

Don’t forget to take a break, go outside and enjoy some exercise, learn something new, read a book and relax! Take advantage of this time to keep making healthy choices. This is a unique opportunity to grow and develop new skills; I hope you make the best of it. I miss you all so much and look forward to seeing you soon.

Love, Ms. Duran

Dear 7th and 8th grade students,

I hope this note finds you well. We are living interesting times. Please stay informed, safe, and as active as possible. Have you started a hobby? Are you learning a new skill? I am on my third puzzle. We must stay as productive as possible and continue to learn, this is why you are being assigned a series of activities that will help you to do that. Please check our Google Classroom regularly for class information and MEUSD and CLMS site for important updates.

I hope to see you all soon!

Mrs. Esquivel

I hope you are all healthy, safe, and enjoying this time being with your families. During this time away from school, to keep being healthy, please make sure that you are keeping up with your stretching and exercises. I recommend that you find an activity that you enjoy and set aside a certain time of the day specifically for that activity. Getting into a routine will be extremely beneficial to you and will ensure that you are getting your daily exercise.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

I hope to see you soon,

Mr. Gradillas

Hello my lovelies!

I hope you all are doing well, staying healthy and safe! It has been quite an adventure these past few weeks, and I am sad to not be with you all each day. But I know that this is all for the best right now. I am sure you are going through many different emotions lately, and what is happening right now is a little scary and nerve-racking. I am feeling the same way. The number one thing I can tell you is to stay strong and positive. Take care of yourselves, and I will see you all when this is over!                                                                                   -Mrs. Kluver

Dear Students,

These are exciting times! Your families will be talking about these times for decades to come. Having said that, I hope you are all doing well and practicing all the precautions we are asked to do, like social distancing, for example.

I think of you all every day and I hope that the time that you are spending with your families is a wonderful experience apart from worrying about illness. Please remember that what you are missing at school is your responsibility now, so step up to the plate and hit a homerun by doing all the school work that is asked of you. Learn from it, share it with your families, help each other learn and move forward!

Please take care and keep smiling.

Mrs. Morris

Let me start by saying I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH! I know that this has been really hard on you all. I’m sure that, with everything going on in the world right now, it might be really difficult to stay positive and calm. I encourage you to find hobbies (like writing or listening to music) that can keep your mind busy, deep breathing, watching funny movies, reaching out to friends and family to talk about things, and making sure you get fresh air and exercise. I’ve been trying to keep myself busy with these things too. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I get really sad. But, I keep trying because that’s what I CAN control in the middle of all these things I CAN’T. If you need to talk, want to check in, or just have a question, don’t hesitate to reach out!

~Angela Cigainero

I miss all our kids!! I miss them trying to teach me to speak Spanish. Saying hi to me everyday.  And helping me collect my pesos to get tacos.

I miss seeing all the smiling faces arriving at school. I miss harassing my brother in the office. I miss helping students on their classwork, even if I'm struggling with the math problem myself. Lol I miss my breakfast burritos every morning. I miss my talented photographers and yearbook designers. I miss playing dodgeball in Mr. G's class. I miss the laughter at recess. I miss photobombing all the Time Tok videos in the morning. Lol I hope we get a chance to go back to work, even if it's in June. The thought of not saying bye to some of these eighth grade students that don't plan on going to MEHS, makes me tear up. I miss and love you all!!!

~ Heather Cunnington

I hope everyone is staying safe and making the best of what we are all going through. I truly miss my kids and our chit chats, looking forward to seeing them again! Love you guys!!
